Where do I go from here, with this developing relationship?
So it has been back and forth between this girl and I for a long time now, three years. We’re both 18 and in our final year of school together. We have been good friends for that time, but there has always been more. We never hooked up but have shared some very profound moments, the kind moments where when we look into eachothers eye’s it’s everything we can do just not to shout out how we feel about eachother. Last Saturday I asked here to "The Grad", it’s the Irish equivilant to " The Prom" or a "Debutant Ball", With-out getting into too much detail, the circumstances of how I asked here were less than ideal but then I wouldn’t expect anything less, how and ever she said yes and it’s as you would understand a "date" for lack of a better word.
I know come next September the chances of us ever being in a relationship are very low based on the fact that her and I will most likely be on opsite ends of the country for college. I also know she wants to start a fresh next year and I am totally in support of that. My problem arises from the idea that I believe it is better to have love and lost than never to have loved at all. I am willing to take the chance of being heartbroken when it ends, as long as it ends well. I’d prefer if we could continue the relationship through college, but reality sucks in a hard way from that perspective.
"Should I try and make a go of having an exclusive relationahip with this girl, and more importantly how should I go about it" I understand The details are vauge and in order for me to give you a real insight I’d have to bore you with almost 4 full years of events leading to this situation and neither of us jave time for that. Understand this is true love, and it is obvious to all involved, including the two of us. I feel that this is the right thing to do, and have thought it out. I want another point of view simply to get a better understanding and perhaps some constryctive suggestions on the best way to move forward. Also I know the lenguage in this seems generic but that’s because I am trying to improve my writting skills. Please help!
